What WE BElieve
'Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners'
Who are project 3418, and what do we believe?
We are a faith-led charity rooted in community, compassion, and the message of the Gospel. Our mission is to support those in need and, in doing so, demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ in both word and deed.
How does the christian faith empower what we do?
We believe that all people are made in the image of God and therefore possess inherent dignity, worth, and value. This foundational truth compels us to serve all people, regardless of background, status, or belief, with compassion, respect, and love.
(Genesis 1:27; Micah 6:8; Luke 10:25–37; Galatians 3:28)
How is the message of the bible relevant to people who are homeless or living in poverty?
We also believe that humanity is fallen. Through the disobedience of Adam and Eve, sin entered the world and separated us from God. As a result, all have sinned and are in need of redemption.
(Genesis 3; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12–19; Romans 8:6–8)
But the good news — the Gospel — is that God did not leave us in our brokenness. In His great love, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, who lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again on the third day.
(Isaiah 53:5; John 3:16–17; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Romans 5:6–8)
How does the work of Jesus relate to what we do as a charity?
It is through Jesus' death and resurrection that we can be forgiven, reconciled to God, and made new. Salvation is a gift of grace, received through faith — not by our own efforts, but by God's mercy alone.
(Ephesians 2:8–9; Titus 3:4–7; Romans 10:9–10)
We believe that all who repent of their sin and believe in Jesus Christ are justified, adopted into God’s family, and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live a transformed life.
(Acts 2:38; Romans 5:1; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 5:22–25)
Why is it important for our trustees and volunteers to be Christians and part of a local church?
As followers of Jesus, we are called to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength — and to love our neighbours as ourselves. This love is not only expressed in words but shown through action: caring for the poor, feeding the hungry, welcoming the stranger, and standing with the vulnerable.
(Matthew 22:36–40; James 2:14–17; 1 John 3:17–18; Proverbs 31:8–9)
Jesus said that when we serve the least among us, we are serving Him. We believe that practical expressions of the Gospel — feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, and offering hope to the broken — are vital parts of our witness to Christ.
(Matthew 25:34–40; Isaiah 58:6–10; Luke 4:18–19; Hebrews 13:16)
We are committed to living out our faith by meeting both physical and spiritual needs. We long to see lives restored, hope renewed, and people come to know the transforming love of Jesus.
